What Is The Difference Between A Vented & Ventless Gas Fireplace?
Vented gas fireplaces can exhaust their fumes to an external source, usually a chimney or a pipe. Vent-free units can operate without a chimney, returning heat directly to the room. Our team carries both types of gas fireplaces!
Will My Gas Fireplace Work During A Power Outage?
As long as your gas fireplace has a standing pilot light or a battery backup, it should work fine in the event of a power outage.
Why Do I See Blue Flames With My Gas Fireplace?
This is normal! They can occur during the initial ignition of your unit. Since the gas-to-air ratio is higher, the flames appear blue. This will correct itself in a matter of minutes, returning the flame to a natural yellow color.
Why Does My Gas Fireplace Smell When Turned On?
This is typical of the first ignition after a long period of dormancy, likely after the spring and summer months have ended. It’s the burn-off of collected dust, oil, and pet dander that accumulated during the process.
How Often Should I Service My Gas Fireplace?
We recommend that you get your gas fireplace serviced on an annual basis. They’ll conduct the cleaning and maintenance tasks necessary to keep your unit running effectively.
